March 4 at 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM CET

This year’s Sweden-Japan Academic Network (SJAN) Seminar was organized by the Royal Swedish Academy of Science, the Embassy of Japan in Sweden, the JSPS Alumni Club in Sweden (SAC) and JSPS Stockholm Office. We had two exciting lectures by Dr. Ayako Miyakawa (Karolinska Institute, Karolinska University Hospital) and Christian Benedict (Uppsala University, Department of Pharmaceutical Biosciences), as well as three inspiring talks given by SAC members who have conducted joint research in Japan through JSPS fellowship program. The seminar ended with a Q&A, followed by a reception.

It is our pleasure to invite you to this year’s SJAN Seminar that is going to be held at KVA (the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences) in Stockholm. The seminar will take place on the 4th of March at 15.00 with lectures by Dr. Ayako Miyakawa (Karolinska University Hospital) and Assoc. Prof. Christian Benedict (Uppsala University). After the lectures, 3 speakers from SAC will talk about their recent research and experiences in Japan, followed by a Q&A. After this there will also be a reception.

Swedish researchers and others interested in science and technology in Japan are most welcome to attend this event together with Japanese researchers in Sweden, JSPS alumni members and Japanese governmental scholarship fellows. This is also a very informative event for those interested in studying, post-doctoral work, or employment in Japan.
