Invitational Fellowships for Research in Japan (Short-term)

Overview

This program allows researchers employed at Japanese universities and other research institutions to invite fellow researchers from other countries to Japan to participate in cooperative activities at their research institutions.

Eligibility

  • Be a citizen of a country that has diplomatic relations with Japan

  • Be a researcher in a position equivalent to a university professor, associate professor or assistant professor in Japan, or received a doctorate degree more than 6 years prior.

    14 - 60 days

    What we offer

  • Round-trip air ticket

  • Daily maintenance allowance of JPY 18,000

  • Research support allowance of JPY 150,000(maximum)

  • Overseas travel insurance


    • How to apply

    The application should be submitted to JSPS Tokyo by your host researcher in Japan.
