Gender equality is considered to be essential to the development of an inclusive, thriving and more sustainable world. How can we as researchers, educators and business leaders, drawing from our strengths and experiences, work together to contribute to this important societal goal?

This webinar aims to introduce the work emerging from the international collaboration between Ochanomizu University and NTNU’s Center for Gender Research on gender equality and diversity to show that gender equality represents an opportunity—rather than an insurmountable obstacle—to high quality research, innovation and education. The referred group at NTNU has been recipient of both INTPART (The Research Council in Norway) and UTFORSK (Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills) funding.

During the webinar, the audience will hear perspectives from educators and representatives from the Norwegian business community in Japan. Future avenues of collaboration between education, research and business will be explored in a dialogue format.

The webinar is organized as a collaboration between JSPS Alumni Club in Norway (ACN), Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills (HK-Dir), The Research Council in Norway (RCN), Innovation Norway Tokyo, The Norwegian Embassy in Japan and Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Japan (NCCJ).
